Dukkahs
Dukkah is a wonderful side dish originating in Egypt, and is typically a mixture of herbs, spices & nuts pounded together after being dry roasted, with a texture that is neither powdered or paste like and is simply served as a dipping mix alongside quality Olive Oil and fresh Crusty Bread.
Dukkah is also extremely versatile in the kitchen and can additionally be used in several simple ways;
- as a dip simply combined with yogurt/sour cream/hummus & serve with crisp bread.
- as a seasoning simply sprinkled on meat, poultry, seafood, potato, tofu or vegetables prior to cooking.
- as a crunchy flavour sensation simply sprinkle on fresh salads just before serving.
- as a unique flavouring on flat bread crisps.
